Roy and Debra were instrumental in Manitoba motocross as promoters of motocross events indoors and out, as business operators in the “Wheels West” dealership, and as sponsors for many many riders over the years, including the likes of Shane Drew who currently works for Team Honda in the U.S. Later in life, Roy worked independently in his garage under “Roy Borton Race” and helped countless riders with both suspension and motor work. He also coached many pro riders to the highest level of Canadian motocross, such as Don Formo and Earl Reimer as two prominent examples.
